The Endeavour was already banned from docking at a small town after an outcry from the Local Maori Community.
I am a Year 8 student at Ruapotaka School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 8 and my teacher is Mr Reid.

Endeavour replica
A replica of the Endeavour is continuing its journey around New Zealand. Over the holidays the ship docked in Gisborne. This led them to a meeting in which they thought that the boat docking there was prohibited, but it had no effect on the Endeavour so it still docked there.

Stuck In A Game ( Duffy Show )
This week Ruapotaka School was so lucky to have Duffy and his friends come to our school to perform how his holiday was going. During their holidays they started to play a game called Magic Bricks.
The game they were playing was no ordinary game. It was a weird, game that teleported people to a gaming dimension.

Today we were making pancakes.
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 Cups of Self Raising Flour
1/2 Cup of sugar
1 cup of Milk
1 Egg
- Combine and mix all ingredients to make your batter.
- Heat stove to 180 Degree.
- Then put the butter pancake mixture on the pan and wait.
- When you see bubbles reaching the surface of the pancake you then need to flip the pancake over to the other side.

Speeches
Speeches are coming up. I don't want to go up on stage because it horrifies me that everyone is going to be sitting there just staring at me. It'll be so embarrassing if I do something wrong. I just don't think I have the skills and potential to do it, but I have to because everyone has to do one and who knows I might be picked for the finals.

School Powhiri
Last week we had a Powhiri for with juniors so that they can experience what a Powhiri is like. We were getting the hall ready for the welcoming and one of the prefects were welcoming in the teachers. We then sang some songs and listened to what the teachers had to say.
Most people were maori and it was my first time being part of a Powhiri and it was really cool to experience what would be done in actual Powhiri When they finished the prefects then recieved a hongi from the teacher.
